Time for Plan B

DISASTER
After creating everything ready for printing, and then spending a stupid and pointless amount of money on prints, and then coming back to the studio to assemble everything, it turned out that my design hadn't actually worked.

Unfortunately, my illogical brain has meant that when I've been working out my designs on the computer, the measurements haven't been adding up. When I went to stick everything together, nothing matched up, leaving it looking scruffy.
The stock I used is also far too thick to fold, and it meant that once I was forcing it to fold, the paper was actually sort of ripping. Overall Wednesday was not a good day for me.
I then had to work on a Plan B, which considering I've had only Wednesday and today to work it out, has left me a little bit stressed.

I had to make it simpler, and work on a thinner stock.
I decided to work with a red vermillion stock I'd used earlier on the in the week to create mock ups, instead of the white I had been working with. This happened because
A)It meant I could print in black and white, making it cheaper
B) Having looked at the speech bubble, I decided that something about it looked a little cheap and also I realised it could get quite dirty quickly.
I kept most of the information that I had already been using, but I simplified it slightly. I didn't want to try and create another shape, so I went with a simple business card that opens up to include some text, with contact details on the back.
I've had to sacrifice most of the cleverness and playing with format that I was originally aiming for with my concept and stripped it down.

For about a days work, I'm satisfied with it, but obviously I have doubts about what everyone else is going to say. I'm sure that the feedback is going to be a combination of the fact there's a lack of innovation, and I'm also worried people are going to say it looks lazy, but in fairness the elements I've used to create it are consistent with my posters, and I actually quite like the typeface and the composition.
The one thing I would change if I had more time is the back of the business card, because I feel like that design definitely looks rushed. I envisioned the mute symbol looking better, but I can't have everything. I'm just glad I got it finished for now.
