These are final images of the product we presented during the final crit for this How To Brief. Overall, the presentation went well, although we were told that our presentation should have focused more on the product, which I agree with, and although it's not an excuse, we really did run out of time on this one. That's also why the recipe cards haven't been bound together like I'd hoped. Our idea which we're going to complete before the February deadline is a flip card that stands up, so that it's easy to follow, compact and is useful in a kitchen environment.
I'm really happy with the way these turned out, particularly since we were quite unorganised and losing direction during the first part of the brief. It all came together really well, and I think the designs work for the audience they're aimed at, which is quite broad. I also think we've worked successfully in making it quite light hearted, by using some jokey tips on the back recipe card.
The colours, red, pink and green, were chosen obviously because they are typically festive, but I also think they work well together because they look quite classic and pretty, particularly the red and pink together.
We used minimal illustration and imagery, firstly because we didn't want them to look too crowded, but also because we of the time constraints that prevented us from preventing illustrations for 10 cards.
UPDATE
These are the images of the mock up we made of what we wanted the recipe cards to look like.
