FINAL RESOLUTION

Here are some images of my final A1 poster, the resolution of my project.
I'm very pleased with the progress I've made during this week, from going from having no clue how to improve it, to actually managing my time well enough to have it all finished in good time, and with a design I'm happy with, and that I hope Ste is happy with as well.
I think that the typeface I have created encapsulates the important aspects of Ste's personality, with the tattooing and urban references, the lyrics I placed in the tattoo banners that use lyrics from Ste's 'wish he could bring someone back to life' answer, Tupac, and the xbox.
I also feel like I've taken on some of the advice Jo gave me, exploring the anatomy of the type more, and I feel like I have followed some rules in terms of keeping the bridges similar and the stems, although there are some variations, all use the same couple of illustrations. I also tried to create the typeface so that there were no 2 letters appearing together that would look too alike, such as the name badge in the previous post, I made sure that each of the elements hadn't been repeated too much.
I also feel like the font is still very legible, despite being made up of different images, which I think was helped by me adapting my alphabet from a simple typeface, which I hand drew before sketching the images over it.
If there's anything I'd like to improve, it would the O, which I don't feel has worked as well as other letters, and I would also like to try and avoid the smudges created by using the biro, although someone did mention that it reminded them of the smudging created on old school tattoos when the finished tattoo got wiped.
I would say that some of the images I have used could be interpreted as aggressive, but I hope my style of illustration has added a more playful edge to it, as the use of line has softened it up.
Overall, I'm very happy, but very nervous for the Crit.

(The final name badge was featured in my other post, but since this is all of my final resolution work it deserves to be in here too. I've mixed the idea of Ste liking simplistic fonts and the colour blue with his urban/tattoo inspired typeface, and I was inspired by the 'Hello my name is' badges, as you can probably tell.)
