Its Your Choice

100 THINGS - Brief mashup
As part of the It's Your Choice brief, we have to revisit and modify the content of a previous studio brief. I have decided to choose 100 Things as this was the brief that I most enjoyed, and I think that although there is a smaller timeframe, I can successfully complete this brief in the time we have, although I will probably collect less research than I did before, and will reduce the number of graphic responses to be created.

Brief
Identify a subject or theme that is of personal interest to you.  Focus and gather as much source material, data and information relating to it as you can in the time available - you should aim to explore the use of both primary and secondary research, as well as both qualitative and quantitative research, in the form of facts, statistics, images, people, places etc.

Categorise and develop the information you gather so that you can explore numerous possible outcomes and links between the research, and identify specific areas of interest.
From the information you gather, you will be expected to produce a set, series or sequence of 5 related graphic products that effectively communicate an informative response to your content.Your resolutions should be print based, focus on the relationship between type and image and explore their function within the visual communication of content. Your products/resolutions can take many different forms dependent on its content, function, audience and context. How will this affect the decisions that you make about format, scale, media etc....?

Considerations
Having decided on the content that you find interesting you should focus on the practical, formal and conceptual development of possible design solutionsYou should consider the relationship between content, categories, organisation, media and form.

How does one affect the other?
Who is your audience and how can you engage with them?
How will they interact with your product?
What are you trying to achieve?
What is the function of your product – is it supposed to inform, educate, document, entertain or instruct?
