Booklet: Experimentation with typefaces
I was working with a variety of typefaces, based around the same bodoni, classic style, I personally like the first design better as it feels like it's the most stylish, and the way the text works in lower case feels like a better fit than capitals - it's more legible and feels more contemporary.
More of a courier style typeface is a possibility to use for the body copy, it's readable and creates a cool contrast against the very refined headline type of Bodoni.
This typeface does not work as well as body copy. The kerning is all wrong and would be very difficult to read, particularly in a smaller point size.
Layouts:
These are just experiments with the layouts of the pages. Because the content is quite information heavy, I'm trying to find a balance between text and image. I personally think that the final layout works the best, because I feel like there is enough negative space between the text and image so that it doesn't feel cluttered, but it also doesn't look bare and empty.
