Design for Print - Unusual Stocks

Metal can be most effectively used for signage, objects or report covers. Print can be applied to the substrate using screen print, transfers, hand painted/drawn or die cut techniques.

Ceramic can be used for objects, and print is applied by hand painting/drawing.

PVC can be used for signage, report covers or objects, and is applied onto by screen print, die cutting or transfer techniques.

Fabric can be used for clothing, banners, or report covers, and is applied by screen printing or hand drawn/painted techniques.

Human body can be used for promotional events mainly, and print is applied via transfers or a hand painted/drawn technique.

Wood is suitable for signage or objects, and can be applied onto via laser cut, screen print, or hand painted/drawn techniques.

With commercial printing in mind, most of these can be considered and put to use in such an environment, however, with the human body and ceramics, it is less ideal, but the human body can be printed onto, photographed and then digitised.
