I already knew that I was going to be doing the branding for a cheesemongers, so I was unsure what I needed to be bringing in terms of design ideas for tomorrows crit, so I'm just going to detail some of the concepts for different products that could be created and how they might look.
British Cheeses or International selection?
I don't know whether to have it be a shop that sells only British cheeses, like Neal's Yard Dairy, or have it sell a variety of cheese from around the world.
Traditional/Artisan
Hand rendered type, chalk boards, more traditional packaging style, illustrative style.
Contemporary
Type based, more modern interior with modern style packaging, simple, photographic style.
Products that could be made:
Chalk boards, labels, packaging for other dairy products that could be sold, signage, business card, logo and identity, paper/shopper bags, wrapping paper for the cheeses, proposals for interior, catalogue of cheeses and what would go well with them, recipe cards, stickers.
I am interested in the idea of creating a catalogue of cheeses that would inform buyers of the cheeses available, possibly in a photographic style, with ideas for recipes or for what the cheese would go well with. This would be categorised into the softness/hardness of the cheese so it would be easy to flick through and identify the cheese you want to look at.
