How To Crit Feedback

On Friday when we pitched one of our main ideas to Amber and Jo, we got a mix of constructive feedback to help to give us a way to move forward with it.

The idea we pitched was a mail shot info-graphic giving tips and guidance on how to save time and money, we talked about the direction we wanted to go in, the audience, and the purpose.

The points discussed were

  • Our 'how to' needed refining. At the presentation, the topic was still too broad, and we needed a better focus.
  • They audience is fine, but the purpose is a little complicated with the conflicting ideas of saving time and saving money.
  • They preferred the idea of saving time, or showing useful tips on how to waste less time on a more specific part of Christmas cooking, such as the Christmas dinner.
  • We need to have a better idea of how it will actually look and the aesthetic style of it.
  • How would we distribute the item to our target audience?
Action Plan for this week
  • Researching tips on saving time during Christmas
  • Look at the idea of sharing the load
  • Look at a way to make the tips you create more light hearted/add humour to the topic
  • Decide for definite on the content
  • Look at the media of the product
  • Find the best places for this to be sent/distributed to
  • Find a way of making the design work well in a supermarket setting, as it would reach a wider audience and be relevant to the concept.
